Class 2 is taught by Mrs. Mercer, Mr. Phillips and Mrs. Storey

Welcome to Class 2!

We are a mixed Year Three and Four class and our teachers are  by Mrs. Mercer (Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday & Friday) and Mr. Phillips (Thursday) with our superhero TA Mrs. Story supporting.

Helpful Information


Each week, the children have two PE sessions, one on Tuesday with Mrs. Story and swimming on a Thursday afternoon at Retford Leisure Centre.  Please ensure that children come to school dressed in their PE kit on these days.  You may choose to It would be incredibly helpful if the children have outside shoes on with this, as should we need to be outside, we will be on the playground or field. 


The expectation across school is that children practice their spellings and phonics alongside their daily reading as homework.  All children children are encouraged to read at least three times a week at home. Spellings are stuck into planners and have practice games and sessions linked on Spelling Shed - their login details are stuck into their planners.


Phonics consolidation can also be found here too. A log on is provided for your child - please see their planner for this.


Purple Mash is a safe, secure platform where your child can use ICT to enhance learning in all areas of the curriculum.  Again, a log on is provided in your child's planner.


Fruit snack is available daily in school and milk from age five is available from Cool Milk at a subsidised cost. Cool Milk can be accessed here:
